Patrol Divison

Members of the Patrol Division are responsible for rural patrol for fourteen towns in York County. Patrol Deputies respond to calls for service which include: motor vehicle accidents, domestic violence complaints, burglary and theft complaints as well as other criminal and motor vehicle violations of State and Federal law.

 

The Patrol Division is led by the Patrol Commander who holds the rank of Major, while Shift Supervisors hold the rank of Sergeant.

 

Several Patrol Deputies are members of specialty units including the Evidence Response Team, Special Reaction Team (SRT or SWAT), Hostage/Crisis Negotiators, York County Hazardous Materials Response Team and School Resource Officers.
